Ahh...Venizia

What a beauty!!! The pictures will never do justice. Venice is totally surrounded by water. Therefore the mode of transport is the vaporetto. Everybody walks kung nasa land. Naka-park ang mga personal boats nila sa tagiliran ng kanilang mga bahay. Otherwise the big boats or vaporettos ang kanilang public transport. A friend asked - does the river smell like Pasig River? Not at all - my reply. Wala ring lumulutang na basura. Their homes/buildings are aged but so well kept. It was like a trip back in time. It was just like living in the "before" ages with the amenities of the present age. Here are pictures of where we stayed.
The church was close by. Actually, marami silang simbahan considering ang liit na lugar ang Venice. The market was so accessible. Lahat ng klaseng fromage, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, gelato at mga fake Louis Vuitton bags are everywhere. Venice by night is just magnificent. It just comes alive with its lights and with the people. Lahat ng tao ay nasa kalye - just walking. The Gondolas are just what the pictures in the magazines portrayed. Venice - the land of Giorgio, Tommaso and Fabio; need I say fabulous (men)?
