Araw Ng Pasasalamat

W e adapt and we assimilate. We may be here in a foreign land, of which some of us may call this our temporary home. We also say thank you and celebrate Thanksgiving. We may not know the Pilgrims and the Mayflower. Still we say Thank you.
As I quote Butch Meily, Rosie's brother (thank you Rose), EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM IS BOUND TOGETHER BY A COMMON HERITAGE AND EXPERIENCE. WE LEFT THE PHILIPPINES TO COME TO THE UNITED STATES. SO THERE IS SO MUCH MORE THAT UNITES US THAN DIVIDES US. That is a mighty statement more than enough to be thankful for. I say thank you for a strong core of Pinoy friends that keep us afloat like the Mayflower in a land far away from our very own.
Most of all, salamat sa lahat ng biyaya - blessings meant to be shared here and with our motherland. Huwag nating kalimutan.
Happy Thanksgiving.
