Kapayapaan

Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be.
With God as our father
We are family.
Let us walk with each other
In perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
With peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.

(child)
Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be.
With God as our father
We are family.
Let us walk with each other
In perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me.

Isang Linggong Tulog Na Lang

One of my favorite Ilocano Christmas songs....

Simbang gabi...Excelente Ham...Castanas sa Quiapo...murang Christmas wrappers sa bangketa...parol...Tenk yu Tenk yu, ang babarat ninyo...

We try to stay local to celebrate the Kapaskuhan. Walang simbang gabi kundi meron din kaming Misa De Gallo. We are never ready to welcome the coming of the Great One. We try to mask the preparation with tons of material gifts. We get caught up with the glitters, the worldly posessions. Amazon.com together with UPS and FedEx made good business off me. These too shall pass.
We stay good and we behave for one week or maybe the whole month of December. We forget our woes and our desperations.
Then we're back to the same old grind....

Tayo'y mangagsi-awit
Habang ang mundo'y tahimik
Ang araw ay sumapit
Ng Sanggol na dulot ng langit
Tayo ay magmahalan
Ating sundin ang gintong aral
At magbuhat ngayon
Kahit hindi Pasko ay magbigayan
